• Life Science - Interactions of living things; plants and animals, protecting and preserving ecosystems, Energy and Matter in Ecosystem
• Changes to Earth’s Surface, rocks and minerals, natural resources. The properties of rocks minerals reflect the processes that formed them. Waves, wind, water, and ice shape and reshape Earth’s land surface.
• Physical Science - physical properties of matter electricity and magnetism, Electricity and magnetism are related effects that have many useful applications in everyday life.

Math
Mathematics will address: number and operations, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, data analysis and probability, place value and money, decimals and metric measurement, problem-solving, reasoning and proof, and communicating mathematically. Students develop a foundation in conceptual understanding, computational fluency, and problem-solving so that they are well grounded in fundamentals. Their mathematical thinking progresses from being able to explain an answer to being able to justify how and why they approached a problem in a particular way, moving from basic understanding to a flexible and well-reasoned knowing.
